History
The first Imperia product was developed in 1995 with the vision of a user-friendly, diverse and high-performance content management system. As one of the first to hit the market, it impressed software experts and quickly won customers. In 1999, Imperia Software Solutions GmbH was founded and in 2001 was transformed into an incorporated company. Since 2005, Imperia AG has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pironet NDH AG. The merger of Imperia with the software solutions division of Pironet NDH in 2009 constituted a portfolio expansion – to the benefit of the customer. The expanded content management portfolio, consisting of the pirobase and imperia products as well as comprehensive services related to products and beyond, offers solutions for all requirements and targets.

With over 700 installations, Imperia AG established itself years ago as one of the leading manufacturers of content management solutions in the German-speaking world. The key to this success is the consistent targeting of software products and services at the needs and requirements of customers. This includes flexibility, simple manageability and high quality, based on superior technology.
 
Focus & portfolio
The two products pirobase and imperia are long-established giants in the content management segment. With this product portfolio, individual solutions can be developed to meet the most diverse customer needs. The imperia product is an out-of-the-box solution, characterised by its high process-orientation. The product thereby fits seamlessly into the company’s IT landscape.
The enterprise content management solution pirobase impresses through its flexibility and excellent integration ability. pirobase helps to realize challenging IT architectures which ensure optimal results for today and for tomorrow.
